Hi, Brenda. I promise you that the upgrade will work as long as you follow the instructions and don't interrupt anything. I didn't lose anything at all. I did a backup just in case, but I didn't lose an address nor a file in my books folder. Email for me is a kind of hit and mis thing. Sometimes, I can download 160 messages withoug even a problem. Other times, I can't seem to get 106 of them even after three or four tries. I think, this morning, I downloaded 183 or something like that. I kept expecting the bn to hang because it was a large amount of email, but it went right through. Now, this evening, I might try 250 or more and it won't work. Who knows. But everything else on my bn works as well or better than it did with 5.1. Of course, you can't go back, but there shouldn't be a reason to. If you want to know the truth, I think I hung as much with email on 5.1 as I am on 6.1. It isn't like I never had a problem with 5.1 and I used to get lots more of those dreaded messages with no subject from that anonymous person, whoever he or she is<grin>.
In my opinion, the upgrade is well worth it.
I am already wondering what 7.0 will bring and when it will be released?

Well, Ronda,
What if I installed the upgrade and it didn't work? I was saying why not be able to go back, install the old program until the bugs are fixed?
