Hi Guys, I just got my Brewtus III-Rotary plumbed today and lit it up for the first time. All I can say is WOW! I have been making/drinking espresso for years but after today.......hehe....I am not sure that I ever 'really' knew what it should taste like! I have SEVERAL coffee beans to test including Black Cat (reg and decaf), Illy, a trio pack from Counter Culture and others. I might not be getting any sleep this week!
It took a few tries to dial in my new Mazzer Mini 'Type B' but I think I have a reasonable setting (one can always play). Thus far I tried both Black Cat (regular) and Illy (decaf) using a temp of 202f, 16g coffee, a double filter basket in a bottomless portafilter and pulled ~2 ounces of coffee in 30 seconds (I timed it). The crema was to die for and the taste....oh the taste.......Wow! Both wonderful coffees. Not sure they would qualify as 'God shots' but I am a believer now!
