Okay, here's some of the facts: The steam tip is the one that came with the machine, the two-holer. I've always keep it clean.
The machine takes approx 20-25 mins to warm up, depending on the ambient temperature. The steam lite comes on while warming up and the pump sounds for a few seconds when first turned on. No unusual hissing noises have been heard. When I start steaming, the pressure gauge is at 1.25 bars. I typically steam about 12 oz of milk in a 32 oz containter. Once steaming starts, the pressure seems to fall more rapidly than in the past, even though the steam lite is on during steaming. The steam needle will run almost all the way down to zero, while steaming the 12 oz of milk.
