Just to confirm.
1. The Brewtus has always steamed 12 oz of milk satisfactorily for you.
2. The B always had 1.25 BAR at start (the number seems low ... I think
most of us are between 1.3 and 1.4)
3. The pump comes on periodically while you are steaming. The steam light
is "on" during the steaming and the brew temp lighted dot is not lit during
these events. (Note: in the controller, although the steam boiler may want
more heat, the dot has priority over the light in the controller that
dispatches current to the heaters).
The easiest fix is to crank up the Steam boiler temperature to 1.35 and try
that for a couple of days. If that solves the problem for you, then declare
victory and do the "watchful waiting" thing.
The next step up is to switch to the single hole tip for a couple of days
(" ALERT! Alert! SAC command has raised the system status level to DEFCON 2
!!" All Crews report to ready transport ..." ).
If the single hole works just fine, then try getting a Gold Pro 2 hole and
see if that keeps the problem solved ... the GP is a little more
parsimonious with the steam than most 2 holes I have seen. DEFCON 1
involves getting out the electrical meters and checking circuit draws ...
you really don't want to go there if you are not used to playing with those
toys.
