Hi guys, I am sure this has been covered many times, but I was told it wasn't a good idea to put the espresso machine on a timer, due to the shocking effect of closing the unit un-naturally (was told this by my seller/supplier). Any data, opinions or comments on that?
I've heard the discussion both ways, but in the case of a Brewtus, there is no difference between using a timer or the switch other than if you use a timer, the switch will probably last longer. It's possible that on some machines with fancy electronics where the power switch does not turn off all the electronics that a timer might have a detrimental effect but, it shouldn't if it's designed right.
