So, my new Brewtus IV arrived yesterday - instructions suggested
letting the machine sit for 12-24 hours when winter-shipped to allow
for any moisture in the pipes to melt/evaporate. That did not stop me
from setting the machine out on the counter, though - very beautiful.
However, I noticed that when I tried to insert the portafilter handle
into the group head, I couldn't get it much past the 7:00 position. In
other words, it was a tight fit. Now, I haven't yet fired up the
machine (that's this evenings job). I am therefore assuming that the
tightness I am experiencing with the portafilter on the grouphead will
disappear as the gasket heats up and becomes more flexible. Is this a
fair assessment? Looking at videos on line of people operating this
machine, it seems as though it is very easy to counter-clockwise turn
the portafilter to the correct position on the group.

Thanks!

Pete
