Mine is a completely different style with two sets of springs/balls seated against rubber o-rings embedded in the valve body. One of them is adjustable, the other not.
I think there's a good chance my vacillating pressure was due to the OPV. And, having to dial back the pressure is surely not giving me the opportunity for the best extraction so I'll order a new OPV and see what happens.
