I don't know of any way to power down the Brewtus II steam boiler,
but, even if you could, it might cause problems since the brew water
runs from the reservoir through a heat exchange in the steam boiler
and then into the brew boiler, so that the brew water is pre-heated
before it gets to the brew boiler. I'm not sure if the brew boiler can
compensate if it gets room temperature water rather than steam boiler
pre-heated water, but it was not designed to do so.
