HX is not an issue. The BIV has the same set-up, so when you power down the steam boiler, that just means the brew boiler has to do more work.
The issue (as best I can tell) with the BII is that the controller heats up the steam boiler first and then the brew boiler. If the steam boiler is calling for heat, it will override a call for heat from the brew boiler. If you can wire your BII so that the p-stat does not send a "call for heat" signal to the to control unit, you should be able to disconnect your steam boiler. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
