I see that on the Brewtus IV, the steam boiler can be powered on or
switched off. I presume that additional feature to be keeping up with
the competition, since the Alex Duetto II double-boiler has had that
capability since its inception, and the Brewtus competes primarily
with the slightly-more-expensive Duetto in the marketplace.

I never use the steam boiler on my Brewtus II. I don't froth (I just
add milk and nuke it for 40 seconds). With that usage, it seems rather
a waste of energy and money to run both boilers all the time.

Is there an easy way to disconnect and power-down the Brewtus II's
steam boiler without damage to the machine or impairment of the
espresso-making function (meaning inadvertent problems with the brew
boiler)? And if so, are there any other repercussions to be aware of?
