I see that on the Brewtus IV, the steam boiler can be powered on or switched off. I presume that additional feature to be keeping up with the competition, since the Alex Duetto II double-boiler has had that capability since its inception, and the Brewtus competes primarily with the slightly-more-expensive Duetto in the marketplace.
I never use the steam boiler on my Brewtus II. I don't froth (I just add milk and nuke it for 40 seconds). With that usage, it seems rather a waste of energy and money to run both boilers all the time. Is there an easy way to disconnect and power-down the Brewtus II's steam boiler without damage to the machine or impairment of the espresso-making function (meaning inadvertent problems with the brew boiler)? And if so, are there any other repercussions to be aware of? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
