I needed to unplug my Brewtus for reasons unimportant here. When I plugged it back in, it seems the PID is not working. Even though the water coming out of the brew head was only warm (I could run my hand in it), the PID showed the temperature was 125 degrees celsius so of course the brew boiler would not turn on.
I left it unplugged overnight. When I plugged it back in and turned on the brew switch, the PID showed 85 degrees celsius. Now the little dot on the PID comes on indicating the brew boiler is on. Within minutes, it rises to what the PID thinks is 96 degrees, which is my set temperature. Interesting the PID bounces around wildly, going from 96 to 98 to 94 every second. I did try and reset the PID settings as follows to no avail. Turn off the machine (both switches) press and hold both v and ^ buttons on the PID Turn on the boiler (right hand switch) press v to get to F.03 press ^ to set to celsius wait press v again to get to P. set to 3.0 wait press v again to get to I set to 0.05 wait press v again to get to d set to 2.0 wait press v again to get to F.04 I can't see the machine damaged after unplugging and plugging back in.
