I replaced the gasket in the OPV adjustment screw last night and dialed it in to 9 bar after verifying brew pressure accuracy with my portafilter gauge. Psyched to be able to count on the built in gauge! The extractions are definitely slower with the pressure reduction, which will mean I need to adjust my grind quite a bit courser. But I've pulled two shots since, and the pressure ramp is still slow. Is there any other part of the OPV that I should open and clean? Or is this just a part that people replace over time?
I also have a functional spare pump here which I can try. If I were to replace a pump with new, I'd be interested to see what Quickmill is speccing on the QM67, which is the absolute quitest vibratory pump application I've ever heard. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
