Thanks for the replies everyone. Now that the holidays have passed, I can update this. I did purchase the part but was thinking through the connections before connecting the wires. Too bad. My previous espresso machine was an NS Ellimatic that still had the original pressurestat (35+ years old). I took it apart and cleaned it once but it worked like a tank. I was pretty surprised at the tiny pressurestat in the Brewtus and wanted something bigger. Physically the Rocket Sirai fits...
Anyways, I did spend some time on this. Step One. I took the microswitch out of the pressurestat and opened it up. Here's what it looked like: <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7dMyD-Nbmf0/VowkRJj8BDI/AAAAAAAAACI/bLQoIQ282T4/s1600/_MG_7851-e1.jpg> Fairly scarred black, but mostly the button internal on the right wasn't even catching on the hook that pushes the spring. I'm guessing it aged over time and rubbed down. I bent the metal to catch the button. Step Two. With the machine on and the microswitch out of the pressurestat, I could see the post in the pressurestat push up as the temperature rose. Seems to work fine. Step Three. The pressurestat post wouldn't quite push up far enough to toggle the switch. I added some padding in the form of tinfoil. Put the microswitch back in the pressurestat and it has been working great. The adjustments are working perfectly. I'm not suggesting this as a good solution, but it will work until I find a supplier for that microswitch. Any suggestions in Canada? Also, who sells the Jaeger in Canada?
