Help! I removed the case to observe what was happening when it was warming up
and I saw that water is spurting out of the “non-suction valve.” Now what do I
do?

I agree.

Further to Todd’s comments, having dealt with this myself—it’s not worth the
trouble to clean, especially after 7 years. I removed mine and had it
*immaculate* and it would still stick, probably from wear that wasn’t readily
apparent. It is not a super-easy part to remove, so replacing it solves the
problem with no risk of having to do the job all over again.

Just my two cents…and good luck.

Take it apart and clean it real good, or replace it.

There is probably a clog on the inlet side of solenoid valve body.

It could also be where the water goes into the bottom of the boiler.

Yes, it brews normally. I found your video where you explain how to test the
solenoid by listening for the click. If it turns out to be sticking, how would
I repair it?

If it brews normally then the fill solenoid valve for the steam boiler is
probably sticking or partially plugged.

Mine always buzzed for a few seconds and it was the vibe pump.

Does this sound like a sticking solenoid to anyone else out there besides me?
Or perhaps a failing vibe pump?

I have had my Brewtus III-V (vibration pump) for almost seven years. Its usual
behavior upon startup has been to buzz for a few seconds (5-10 seconds) and
then start to heat up. The buzzing usually terminates with a very brief uptick
in volume before stopping. A typographical representation might look like this:
[click on] rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRR [noise stops machine begins to heat up].
Sometimes there would be no buzzing at all upon turning it on and it would
begin to heat up right away. This was its normal behavior until recently.

Now, when I turn it on the buzzing frequently goes on for a very long time—up
to three or four minutes before resolving in an uptick in volume, like this:

[click on]
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRR
[noise stops machine begins to heat up]. Sometimes it still starts up with no
noise and begins to heat up right away.

Is something about to fail on the machine? What should I check? Any advice
would be appreciated.

Howard
