Hi there

I did thanks

I had the hose connected to a fat pipe running into my external tank coz I
didn’t want to risk rusting the hose

The water level in the fat pipe dropped to the tank meniscus level each
time the pump stopped. When the pump started, it would entrain that air
first, then the water. That air sucking caused the initial dip in pressure.

So I chucked the fat pipe, threw the hose directly into the tank, bled out
all the air I had sucked into the machine and voila

Thanks for the message
