Hi Ameen

Glad to hear that. I also had some teething problems with mine but fortunately
the supplier, Kold Serve, was quite helpful and I am enjoying my Brewtus.

Kind regards

Hi there

I did thanks

I had the hose connected to a fat pipe running into my external tank coz I
didn’t want to risk rusting the hose

The water level in the fat pipe dropped to the tank meniscus level each time
the pump stopped. When the pump started, it would entrain that air first, then
the water. That air sucking caused the initial dip in pressure.

So I chucked the fat pipe, threw the hose directly into the tank, bled out all
the air I had sucked into the machine and voila

Thanks for the message

Regards

Dear Friends

Kindly advise me on a few issues I have been having with my 3 week old Brewtus
IV-R running off a tank:

1. The grouphead sometimes does not get hot enough even after 40 minutes. It
gets warm, but not hot, sometimes.

2. I think the rotary pump is noisier than it should be and the cups are now
rattling which is new

3. When starting the shot, the pressure dips briefly before escalating to brew
pressure. This happens consistently whether using coffee, blind disc or nothing
(see video).

4. The water coming out of the grouphead has been cloudy of recent.

5. The grouphead lets out puffs of steam from time to time, mostly after a shot
but also when just free running the group. These have splashed and burned on
more than one occasion.

6. If I wire a 2 pin plug so that I can use my WiFi plug, there is current
leakage and touching the machine gives you a small continuous shock. This
disappears once a 3 pin earthing plug is used, but it obviously just means that
the leaking current is being earthed, not that there is no leaking current. I
was told not to worry about this if the machine is working fine.

The machine is still under warranty and will be looked at soon. I just want to
make sure I know what to tell the techs and that I don’t get persuaded to
accept something abnormal as normal.

Other details: the tank is a 5L tank behind the machine. No added parts such as
flojet etc. Water is good quality spring water.

Any advice will be much appreciated

Thank you in advance

I am also in RSA and own a vibe model Brewtus IV bought in October 2016. I
would like to know if you had your issues with the Brewtus resolved.
