I recently noticed that after my Brewtus II reached 201 F when first turned
on that the brewgroup was *not *hot to the touch.
After pulling a few ounces of water, the brewgroup heats up and stays hot
the rest of the day.
I have a PID and the Brewtus II is turned on in the morning by a timer.

*Is this the normal operation?*

I started to wonder if this was really a problem and reread the manual.
I found the following statement:

"First, move the lever to full up position and let the pump run about 2 to
4 ounces of water through the empty portafilter basket .... this step
preheats the cup and also
brings the brewgroup up to temperature ..."

I looked at the Brewtus IV manual and found similar instructions.
