Finally fixed/ Rebuilding brew head components was irrelevant. I had a 2nd problem that I was ignoring. A leak. I thought it was a minor nuisance. I had opened the Brewtus II and could not find what was leaking.
The 3rd time looking for the leak, I found it. I had to pull a shot with the machine open to see the leak. It turns out that the leak was the reason the brew head was not heating up. The teflon tube that was going from steam boiler to brew boiler had a hole in it that was leaking. That meant the brew head was not heating up. It was a $6 part. After I had spend about $100 on the brew head kit and gaskets. It was leaking because some insulation around a copper tube had slipped leaving the teflon tube in contact with the hot copper tube. That had burnt a hole in the teflon tube, which leaked and starved the water circulating in the brew head. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
