So I plucked in the bimetallic strip, I realized that I *could* get 
continuity but one of the wire crimp contacts that goes into the limit 
switch was lose, the rivet its tied to was not fully seated anymore (I 
think  the heat causing a slight bulging out as you can see in the photo).

so I did the stupid thing, tried to give the rivet a few taps with a hex 
key and a hammer. It didnt solve the problem of the loose contact and ALSO 
now not getting connectivity. I think the current thermostat is toast...

I'm in the US, I've scoured Amazon, those I sent you are the best match I 
could find with fast shipping...lmk if you have any suggestions for finding 
a UL listed, 145C (or 290F) normally closed Tstat haha. It would be cool to 
find a similarly rated component that works fine for other users to to also 
have on hand, this component seems to go bad often for people, looking 
through past posts on this forum!
