Ah, the war between consceicne and pragmatism/practicality, or between
idealist/realist. Sure it's your conscience to vote Nader. But in
practical terms, it will mean Bush gets elected. Why? Say Nader takes lots
o California votes away from Gore. That means the *electoral* vote will go
to BUsh - and California's electoral votes are so crucial Gore isn't going
toget elected without them.

Yes, it's a sucky choice. That's what is wrong with the winner take all
scheme we have. It's just as sucky for Libertarians or any other third ofr
fourth party whatever. Maybe if Nader gets a big vote it will focus
attention on the *issue* of third parties in general.That might turn out
to be good not just for the Greens but for others.

BTW: Yes I agree with nader that the Demos have sold out and are not left
any more. However, I disagere with the Greens more Luddite stances (some
of the platform looks like it was written by extremely anti-technology
people which I can't believe is the whole party. There are Greens who are
alot smarter.)
