Dune Miniseries to be shown CUT in USA!

Just learned from cnn.com that in AMerica we get an edited version of the
new television miniseries of Dune. The only "edited for content" bits are
brief nude scenes (they're changing clothes! American tv is sooo prudish)
but there are also cuts for TIME to make room for COMMERCIALS !! on the
sci-fi channel. The latter offends me far more than cuts for nudity.
Another argument for international penpals and multi-standard VCRs. (I
live near an electronics shop run by (and mostly for) Indian immigrants
that sells multi-standard VCRs, but have never had the nerve to go in
there...)
