There are days when a train commute would have been welcome. Getting on a
train is a perfect excuse to pull out a book and get some reading done.
Of course, this would have meant getting up earlier, dragging myself into
an office somewhere, etc., which would have been less of a thrill as it
continued on.... (And forget working when you're just a little too sick
to leave the house, but not so sick that you can't sit at the computer and
get something constructive done an hour at a time. The biggest thing
that telecommuting has done for us is drastically reduce the number of
sick days we've had to take. Dan's taken less than 5 in the past 2
years, and I never took one unless I was feeling *really* miserable.)
