Don't forget the "magic defense field" which Supes must project. His uniform
- made by dear old mom, wasn't it? - survives tremendous friction, drilling
through rock, bullets, etc. And he can take Lois on a scenic tour of the
airspace over Metropolis at the level of the cloud deck without her passing
out. Therefore his indestructability must extend outwards from his body a
bit. Lois might just survive the catch.
We could switch the example to Spock's rescue of the plumetting Kirk in Star
Trek V. But that would make everyone think about STV which just isn't
polite.
