Then that's a hoax with a huge impact. Your energy crisis has forced the US
to start buying oil from Europe; as a result, fuel prices here have gone up
40 cents per litre in the last two months, reaching an all time high.
Diesel now sells for NLG 1.81 per litre, Unleaded for NLG 2.79 per litre,
and Super Plus for a whopping NLG 2.97.
For comparison: 1 USD = NLG 2.50, 1 gallon (US) = 3.78533 litres. Fuel
prices in $/gallon are 2.74, 4.22 and 4.50 respectively.
Fortunately, our car runs on LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas), which IIRC is
basically a waste product and therefore relatively cheap: only 93 cents per
litre ($ 1.41 per gallon).
