Have you any idea what an absolute bullshit you are throwing around, John?
You are claiming that because the authors of the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights allegedly copied *one* article from the Declaration of
Independence and *one* article from the Bill of Rights, they must have
believed that *everything* written in those documents was right. Is there
*any* evidence for that?
It's like saying "hey, <insert any listmember> agreed with me once, so s/he
definitely agrees with everything I say". You know just as well as I do
that that statement is utterly false.
Especially in your case... <grin>
BTW, the *Constitution* mentions the death penalty, but nowhere do you
claim the authors of the UDoHR copied anything from *that* document.
>Amnesty is simply twisting someone else's words to fit their own political
>agenda on this issue.
John, other people on this list have called you arrogant and narrow-minded.
So far I've given you the benefit of the doubt (although sometimes just
barely), but now I really must agree with them. The statements in your post
show an amount of arrogance and narrow-mindedness that is absolutely
unworthy of a Brineller. AI is a highly-respected organization with a huge
number of supporters around the world; most governments and millions of
people agree with them. Now you dare saying that all those people (and AI
itself) have a wrong interpretation of the UDoHR, and your interpretation
is the only right one. What a crap.
What you say in your post is so absolutely ridiculous, arrogant and
narrow-minded, I don't know whether I should laugh, or cry... :(
Maybe this is a good time for the religious members of this list to start
praying for John's soul...
One last thing:
>> >Last time I checked (about 15 minutes ago...), executing prisoners
>> >was still a violation of human rights.
>>
>>The United Nations apparently does not think so:
You still haven't pointed out where the UN says that executing prisoners is
NOT a violation of human rights.
