I remember reading somewhere that if you give up your right to social security and social benifits you can get exempted from income taxes. Or something along those lines. I think it was on some financial advisory colum from ABC news somewhere. But it's been rather a while since I read it and I'm not sure of the context it was explained in nor of the criteria under which it could be applied. Sonja
