Normally yes but for some reason they aren't deducting state taxes from my tax rebate. 
Probably waiting for end of the year taxes to ask for that money.

For the Europeans: Did you see the news story of an Austrian government official who 
got an award for long governemnt service, then got a tax bill for the award he got. 
(The award was a statue or medal, not actuall cash).
