Hm. I'd gone my whole life without ever having a new computer that was
MINE, but getting 3 hand-me-downs that had been Dan's and purchasing
another one used from a friend.
I'm composing this e-mail using the brand-new computer that Dan gave me
for our 10th anniversary last month. I'm a happy camper. (And it cost
less than whatever the diamond people would have wanted him to buy for me.
I have 1 diamond, in the engagement ring he got me, and that's enough
diamond jewelry for this woman. Maybe I'm just a weird nerd woman,
though.)
