I second this.   Maybe you could add, "we are encouraged to filter our
messages, rather than let one sensitive discussion disrupt our List
experience - and then disrupt the experience of the entire List by balming
the sensitive discussion or posters for causing us to leave the List.
 
I would also suggest the following:
-We agree to not use the Etiquette Guidelines to chastize another List
Member in a public discussion.   If we were at a Party, and a friend was
behaving badly, we would not shout our advice to the entire Party, but
rather pull the friend aside and quietly ask them to consider their actions
carefully.    If we feel that a fellow List Member needs to be corrected,
we agree to do so via off-list communication.
