In southcentral PA the prices jumped from 1.30 to 1.90. In north central
there was only a 2 cent increase. I had heard of an oil price spike, but
didn't know it was only 7%.

I almost have to agree with the price gouging theory. There is no reason
that the price of the gas that is already on site at the gas station
should increase so much.

There is, but that takes weeks to get to the pump. Since oil prices are
very important to my livelyhood, I checked the crude prices. They went
up
about 7%. I think that tripling prices is not just normal supply and
demand. Around here, prices have stayed the same, as far as I can tell.

It is close to war profiteering, you know.
