Because of my earlier comments about the oil companies intentionally raising
prices, I think it is only fair of me to compliment them on taking the
position of freezing prices.
After seeing cars 40 and 50 deep per pump last night, I was pleasantly
surprised to see those same local stations at the same price this morning,
and some even dropping their prices 5 to 10 cents a gallon.
I personally saw the prices at one Columbus burb hit $6.00, I hope that I
never see that again.
I heard on the radio this morning that the Ohio Attorney General (as well as
several other states AGs) have vowed to investigate price gouging and
profiteering in their states. There is plenty of video and picture evidence
of the stations that participated in that.
I think that it was this price gouging that started the panic and run for
gas last night. Once people heard that gas prices were skyrocketing they
began to panic and wanted to fill up before the prices went up. These
stations should also be hit for inciting panic.
I'll climb off of my soapbox now.....
