Its too quick to be the oil companies. They tend to sell the gas to to
station owners by the tanker full. They also would have much more to lose
via negative publicity than independant station owners. If it were the oil
companies, you'd see a uniform rise. Here I bought gas at a more expensive
station than I usually buy at for $1.36/gal. Dollars to donutes is your
friendly local small business owner that's to blame.
