Minor detail: Hitler could not possibly have wanted the destruction of the
State of Israel -- for the simple reason that the State of Israel was only
founded *after* WW2.

And I know what you mean. But since you mentioned this, I don't think you
really understood his point. His point was: by abandoning Israel and by
abandoning Jews to the mercy of their persecutors, we would be complicit in
their genocide. That's what Hitler started and tried to finish.
