Well, if it is bin Laden, he specifically said that the US should be
attacked because it supports Israel. He has stated that the Jews control
the US. Other terrorist groups have made similar statements. The other
statements they make is that the US culture is evil. I'll agree that it
may be worth investigating this a bit more closely, but I think we can use
their stated motives as a darned good first order approximation to their
motives. If need be, I can go back and get web sites, but going to Yahoo
news will get you there soon.
