Yes.  Not that I've seen the movie, but there's only one Jerry Falwell
that would have gotten involved like that.

(And according to IMDB, it's not the first time that Richard Paul played
Falwell -- he also played him in a 1990 movie about the scandal
surrounding Jim Bakker in the 1980s.)
