Well, there was at least 1 in Salt Lake City when I was there (in 1997?
1998? Can't remember which year now). Mostly they sold decaf drinks,
although a few people weren't honoring the Mormon prohibition against
caffeine. :) My stepcousin got coffee there every morning. (She's not
Mormon.) They knew her by name and knew her order.
One day we took a drive around here, and admittedly, it was kind of
convoluted, but we passed at least 3 Starbucks, plus a grocery store
that I knew had one in it. (2 of the 3 and the supermarket were within
a couple of miles of each other.) We found it a little disturbing.
