No.  That's why I chose the date before.

No, I think it is mostly due to training and nutrition.  That's why I chose
just before opening day.  There wouldn't be time to learn the new
techniques.  Indeed, I'd argue that there may not be enough time when
someone is 21.  IIRC, ball players use to use spring training to get in
shape.  Now most are in shape when they arrive.
