Why? There are probably 100 people with the genes to be a top ball player
today for every one that is one who didn't have the training, the
dedication, the luck with injuries, etc. that the ones on top do. Is it
meaningless to say that Barry Bonds is the top baseball player this year,
when 100 people had the same genes to be? Or, is it meaningless to say that
today's computers are a lot faster than the old VAX 11/780?
