<< Will we then also be allowed to refer to certain groups of Israelis (and individual Israelis) as the evil sons of bitches they are, whenever Palestinians get killed? >>
Sigh. Not this again. There's a difference between what the two sides are doing, and if you can't (or, in this case, more likely, *WON'T*) see that, then there's really no point in our discussing this issue. Because you're just another fucking Nazi. Whenever someone dies violently it's a tragedy. There is a difference between Israel killing individual fanatic terrorists who have murdered Israeli citizens and Palestinian suicide bombers setting off nail-bombs in crowded civilian areas to indiscriminately murder anyone and everyone they can. Israel is not perfect (as the entire world never tires of screaming; including such sterling exemplars of human rights as Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Iran, Pakistan, China, etc.), and it does things that many people who support Israel do not like. Israel is, however, at war with what it sees as 100 million surrounding implacable Nazis. Rightly or wrongly, that is how Israel sees itself, and actions like yesterday's atrocity do nothing to change that perception. If Palestinians really want peace, the very best thing they could do would be to stop all this terrorism. And before you say, Israel should stop the occupation because that would end the terrorism, shut your fucking face. These anti-Israel murdering filth do not object to the Israeli occupation - they object to Israel period. To its very existence. To the presence of Jews on the face of the planet. Yes, Israel should find a way to make peace with the Palestinians. Yes, the occupation is harsh. War is hell, you know. But the Palestinians themselves have to decide what they want - peace or their grievance. They can't have both. If there are large numbers of Palestinians who are willing to accept a peaceful solution, they have to make their feelings known - now. They can't be celebrating when Israeli civilians are massacred and expect Israel to give them a state. It is just not going to happen. And you anti-Israel pricks should really think about what you're supporting - the Palestinians have brought a lot of their suffering on themselves, you know. They could have had a state in 1947. They could have some kind of state now. What Israel offered a couple of years ago may not have been perfect, but the Palestinians should have taken it anyhow. It would be better than what they have now. Their turning it down and restarting the intifada led to Sharon becoming Prime Minister - is that what they wanted? Maybe it is. Maybe the Palestinians really don't want peace - maybe they really just want to push the Jews into the Mediterranean and finish what Hitler started. You can't honestly expect the Israelis to go along with this, can you? Or maybe you do. Maybe you think Jews should just meekly walk into the gas chambers and ovens. Which brings us back to where we started. Scratch an anti-Israel person and you find an anti-Semite. Every single time. I criticize Israel when they deserve it. But if it comes to a choice between an imperfect Israel and no Israel at all - which it sometimes seems as if that's the only choice (I hope not) - I know which side I'm on.
