I think the Guantanamo prison is one of the best ideas to come up during
this ordeal. But I hope it is temporary and not to be used unless a similar
situation occurs.
It is remote enough to discourage prison breaks and the winters there are
mild enough that the prisoners should be comfortable enough. It also
protects the prisoners from public scrutiny *and* from American prisoners.
Can you imagine how prisoners in an American high security facility would
treat Alquieda and Taliban members?
