From: Kevin Tarr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Anyone make their own beer or know people who do? I saw this contraption in a magazine and am tempted to buy one to try it out.
http://www.beermachine.com I've only had two homemade brews and they both were awful, but they were brew-in-a-bucket types, the makers had to do everything over the course of three months, then bottle it themselves. One problem I see: while they advertise 20 different flavors they are just variations on three themes: lager, pilsner, and ale. (Then again I don't know how many different types there are). On a whim I once ordered a bock and thought it was the best tasting beer I ever had. Of course I didn't remember the name brand and the few bocks I've tried since were as bad as the homemade ones I had. ---- HTML is evil. Why not take it a step further, order a home water distiller (http://naturalpurewater.com/e_still.htm) and distill your beer into a real liquor. Then store this liquor in oaken barrels (the expesive part) for several years. Homemade whisky.
