The media reported that this was definitively classified as a structural
failure by the NTSB and was not terrorist related. Unfortunately though,
there will always be that doubt.
NTSB = National Transportation Safety Board

I read last week that the FBI is closing in on a breakthrough on that case.
My interpretation of that, is that they don't know "jack squat" and are
hoping to scare someone into making a mistake.
One of the leads they had that was very high on the potential list was over
a scientists here in Columbus Ohio that had been fired from Battell twice
(how does one get fired twice?) He in an Anthrax expert and had worked
closely in the development of an aerosol delivery system for Anthrax. I am
still wondering how an aerosol Anthrax delivery system can be classified as
strictly a "defensive" weapon. Anyway, this guy was the highly (and I
emphasize HIGHLY) disgruntled employee that had made threats prior to the
Anthrax release.
I think that the last thing that I would want as an employer, is a highly
disgruntled employee that is an expert in biological weapons and delivery
systems. But that's just my paranoia. :-)
