Actually, he didn't break her heart for long. Her heart was broken for about 30 seconds before she got a clue about what he was really doing. I particularly liked the fact that it was a moral drama, reminicent of the discussions between Hal Mayne and Bleys Ahrens in the Childe cycle by Gordon R. Dickson. I also like the fact that the Peter and MJ's love story was fairly well done: the foundation of their relationship is that they actually like each other as people. Dan M.
