Earth, maybe?

My senior year, a guy had just moved to NH from Texas. His family was
loaded. If he wasn't the richest kid in the school, he was the
second-richest kid in the school.  He wasn't one of the "popular" kids;
folks got along with him all right, but he wasn't the center of any sort
of clique.

As far as the prettiest girl in the school, I'd say that Paige was
prettier than I was, and she had no real interest in him. He and I
ended up dating after the school year ended. He ended up being sweet on
me for some reason.

The other candidate for being the richest kid in the school was also in
our grade, and he'd gotten kicked out of a private school, and partied a
lot. The guy who'd moved from Texas wasn't a party animal. Maybe the
popularity thing in high school has to do with partying? If you're
richer, you can probably do more interesting partying, at least.
