I'm not sure how things work in the Netherlands, but here, as a private company, McKinsey is under no obligations to allow Gautam to speak his mind and continue to employ him. If, for example, I was a neo-Nazi and my employer found out, that employer *can* fire me, as I understand it. Free speech, etc., is something that cannot be abridged by the government, but a private company (again, as I understand it) is not constrained the same way. If someone that is more up on these kinds of legal issues can clear this up, I'd appreciate it.
