I can forgot the warning, if the etiquette rule is added to prohibit this
form of behavior. While some would laugh at the definition of Troll, as I
posted earlier, I find Mark's behavior relevant to the definition and
unacceptable for this list. While I can accept Mark's voice, I cannot accept
the method in which he chooses to 'share' his voice. It is as annoying as
someone having a full-voice conversation on an elevator with someone over a
wireless phone.

Alberto, I do find his irrelevant posting of his casual thoughts without
context or reference to be offensive.

Let's revisit the definition:
>troll

>The well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and
flamers to make themselves look even more clueless
>than they already do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and
experienced that it is in fact a deliberate troll.

So far, I have counted at least 4 people who have responded back to Mark
with huge question marks. They appear clueless to Mark's posting style,
context, language and manner for the posting. This in itself may not be
considered flamelike, but is a rude way to communicate. The fact that
multiple messages have revolved around this fact, clearly follows the
pattern of trolling.

> If you don't fall for the joke, you get to be in on it. See also YHBT. 2.
n. An individual who chronically trolls in sense >1; regularly posts
specious arguments, flames or personal attacks to a newsgroup, discussion
list, or in email for no other >purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a
discussion. Trolls are recognizable by the fact that they have no real
interest >>in learning about the topic at hand - they simply want to utter
flame bait.

I see Mark doing this. Does anyone else? Why do I feel that Mark is more
concerned about appearing like a troll, than actually interacting with the
group, except to appear crazed.

> Like the ugly creatures they are named after, they exhibit no redeeming
characteristics, and as such, they are recognized >as a lower form of life
on the net, as in, "Oh, ignore him, he's just a troll." Compare kook.

Yes, a number of people have called him a Kook.

All I am asking is to have an additional rule added to thethe Etiquette book
to prohibit Trolling and Kooks. This is unlike me, but I feel strongly about
this. Some of you say, Just Killfile him. Frankly I don't want that. I want
to hear what Mark has to say. I don't want to feel that because don't know
what the fuck he is talking about, I am an idiot (trolled).
