Well, I personally find it quite ironic that two of the most outspoken proponents of free speech on this list are *also* the most vehemently anti-html and aggressively & repeatedly demand onlist and off that people who post in html code change ISPs for the good of the list? (BTW, IIRC, Erik, you didn't say anything to me offlist, but others did. They weren't pleasant about it.) Jim had the same experience I did. Presenting someone with an ultimatum: demanding that someone change ISP's for the good of the list or leave _is_ an act of forcing your opinion on someone. I believe the main reason that was given for the demand several months ago was that 'html codes made posts unreadable and unintelligible.' Yet Mark's nonsensical posts in plain text suddenly merit such strong defense? Jim's _not_ 'being cute.' He's shining a light on what looks like a double standard. Jim and I both inconvenienced ourselves and changed ISP's 'for the good of the list' to be polite to those listmembers who had a problem with it. Even though our aggressors were being nasty we opted to do what we felt was civilized. Now you tell us that it is wrong to hold Mark to the same standard. :-( Jon
