What do you mean by "freely?" Without restraint, feedback, etc.?
Although I have great appreciation for the kind of interaction you're
describing, it's never the whole story. We naturally move between highly
creative brainstorming modes of behavior, in which it is totally appropriate
to suspend judgment, and focused execution on the best ideas that arise from
the brainstorming.
Are you saying that *Brin-L* should be about brainstorming, etc., and thus
should never engage in judgment, or are you saying that all such forums
should be so? The first idea is an intriguing one and comes close, at
least, to describing how it really is. The second is foolish, not to put
too fine a point on it.
My work (www.mccmedia.com) deals with these issues, by the way.
