Science is not about belief, it is about experiment. The test of all knowledge is experiment. Science does not ask for faith or belief. If you want to test some theory or piece of knowledge, you design and perform an experiment. There is really no overlap between science and anything that requires that knowledge be accepted on faith. As for incompatibility, that is a more complicated question. I foget who mentioned this (Darryl?) example, but I could contend that there exist invisible and totally undetectable pink (yes, invisible pink) unicorns all around us. Since this contention is untestable by experiment, it falls totally outside the domain of science. It is not contradicted by science (except perhaps Occam's Razor, but that is not exactly science), so maybe you could say it is not incompatible with science. But it isn't compatible, either. It is just unrelated. -- "Erik Reuter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.erikreuter.net/
