I am under the impression that when a discussion is finished, ergo when
nothing new or relevant is added, one should refrain from adding to the volume
of list mail, simply to prove the point that one can.

There is a problem with people not being able to use technology the way some
of us  do, to filter out certain things, even if they'd very much like to. So
not adding unnecesarily (the word here being unnecessarily) to the volume
seems to be curtuous without infringing on ones own freedom to express
oneself. Exept of course if the idea is to add for the sake of adding. At this
point I'm not sure wheather or not that's the idea.
